Cappiello was deeply involved in the planning for the Paris World's Fair of 1937. As vice-president of the Publicity Department of the Fair, he designed the decor for the Pavilion of Advertising, as well as this poster, in which the Fair's main themes (Art and Technology) are represented with allegorical figures that bear the light of wisdom and progress.
